SERVICES

Services

We strive to provide high-quality, compassionate care with a focus on the following issues:

There are two main types of services we provide: assessment and psychotherapy.

A psychological assessment can help you to better understand yourself and the issues you're dealing with.  When appropriate, a mental health diagnosis and treatment recommendation will be shared with you.  To perform these assessments, we may collect information through clinical interview, standardized tests, self-report questionnaires, and other specialized procedures.

Psychotherapy involves working collaboratively with a therapist to address or treat a mental health issue.  At our clinic, we prioritize our relationships with clients and create a warm, trusting environment that promotes personal growth and development. A question we ask almost every client is "What do you value?”  We will work closely with you to identify and help you remove the barriers that are preventing you from fully living out those values.  Our role is not as an expert who will tell you what you need to do but as a coach who will gently guide you toward the answers that are already within you.  At our clinic, we use a therapy approach called cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), which has been shown through research to be among the most effective treatments for a wide variety of mental health problems.

At this time, we offer both in-person and video-based sessions and are in network with BlueCross BlueShield PPO and Blue Choice plans.

One of things that differentiates us from other therapists is our training background.  We are clinical psychologists, meaning we hold a doctorate (PhD) in clinical psychology.  We have been trained in the science of psychotherapy and have worked for many years as psychotherapy researchers.  Our research background now informs the work we do with clients; the therapy you receive from us will be grounded in the latest scientific evidence.
